Czech Best 100: CZ LOKO was awarded for the design of the new locomotive TEM TMH

29.11.2010
For the first time, the joint-stock CZ LOKO Company was included among the first hundred of the best Czech firms, Czech Best 100. In a survey with a fifteen-year-old history, CZ LOKO has taken up the 59th position in the year 2010. Moreover, the excellent result has been “spiced” with its victory in the departmental category Invention – engagement – export – profit. The Pan-European company Comenius that organizes this competition has appreciated the Czech – Russian project of a new locomotive production – the TEM TMH.

The prize was awarded to Mr. Josef Bárta, the director general, by Mr. Martin Kocourek, the CR Minister of Industry and Business and by Mr. Petr Kužel, the president of the CR Chamber of Commerce, in the Spanish Hall of the Prague Castle on November 26th.

The ceremony was attended by the president, Václav Klaus, by the Parliament chairperson, Miroslava Němcová and by some members of the diplomatic corps, including the Russian federation ambassador.
„I am really happy about this, because it means appreciation of the teamwork of people who have launched this technically and administratively demanding international project several years ago and who have brought it to a conclusion. We would not experience this honor without their invention or engagement,“ stated Josef Bárta in this connection.

CZ LOKO, who has won the “Dynamic growth” category in a national competition the last year, has confirmed that even at the time of global crisis it is able to win its position in the market; above all, thanks to the development and technical progress, to the business skill and workforce engagement of absolute majority of the employees.

This year´s survey – the Best Czech 100 – was won by the car maker, Škoda Auto, before the power-producing giant ČEZ and the Agrofert Holding. The companies also listed among the first ten are: Kooperativa insurance bank, RWE Transgas, Best, Allianz insurance bank, Vítkovice Holding, Škoda Transportation and the North Bohemia mines.
